Arches National Park: Delicate Arch

Delicate Arch is a Must-Not-Be-Missed hike if you are ever in Southeast Utah and have a few hours. If you are just driving by, do not miss the drive through Arches, the park is small and the road through the park takes you past some of the most awesome arches and sandstone formations in the world.

The hike is a moderate 3 mile up and back past some ancient petroglyphs, through beautiful slickrock formations, and then past Window Arch where you can climb and look through it to see Delicate Arch.  Start the hike late in the day so you can see the sunset behind the arch.  You can make most of the hike back to your car as the sky is still lit after sunset but you may hit darkness toward the end, so bring a headlamp or flashlight.
